Pixie Lodge is in an area almost surrounded by Forestry Commission woodland (3,500 acres – 3.5 square miles) which is home to wild deer, wild birds and other natural wild animals.
Deer and birds are regular visitors in the areas around the Lodge (we provide binoculars).
The lodge is painted green and allowed to grow roof moss and grow lichen on its woodwork to fit into the surrounds (a natural camouflage) to put the wild creatures at ease so that you may have opportunities to see them in their natural settings.
(Lichen is only on the outside !)
Pixie Lodge is located beside Dartmoor National Park, near to three large beautiful lakes (4.6 miles from Pixie Lodge).
Forest biking trails, walking trails, “GoApe” in the forest, Go Segway trails, and horse riding are all within 2.8 miles of Pixie Lodge).
Trago Mills Discount shopping and Fun Park, (great place, allow a day) is 11 miles away.
